George Fields 

1924-2003 

George Fields, age 79, of Grayson, Ky., went to be with the Lord on Friday, Dec. 12, 2003, in Our Lady of Bellefonte Hospital. 

Mr. Fields was born July 25, 1924, at home in Hitchins, Ky., a son of the late Claude and Ethel Prichard Fields. 

He was employed with Stars Fashion World, as well as Stars and Stripes, for over 35 years. 

George was a deacon and member of the First Church of Christ in Grayson, was a Kentucky Colonel, was a charter member of Sunrise Valley Golf and 
Country Club, was a scoutmaster and Little League coach, and was a member of Grayson Jr. Chamber of Commerce and the Trimble Lodge 145 F&AM. 

Mr. Fields was a member of the U.S. Army during World War II and was decorated for service in the European Theater of War, 
including Belgium, Luxembourg, France and Germany. 

His survivors include his wife, Jean Fields of Grayson; a son, Dr. Larry S. Fields and his wife, Judith, of Russell, Ky.; 
and three grandchildren, Benjamin Alexander Fields, John Vincent Fields and Kathryn Elizabeth Fields. 

Funeral services will be conducted Monday, Dec. 15, 2003, at 11 a.m. at the Malone Funeral Home in Grayson 
with Phil LeMaster and Gary Arrington, ministers. Burial will be in Hillcrest Cemetery. 

Friends may call Sunday evening from 6 to 8:30 p.m. and Monday morning after 9 a.m. and until service time at the funeral home.
