Burnest Estep 

1926-2007

MOREHEAD - Burnest Estep, age 81, of Cranston Road, Morehead, Kentucky, passed away Monday, April 30, 2007, 
at St. Claire Regional Medical Center in Morehead. Born April 19, 1926, in Carter County, Kentucky, he was the son of the late Lake and Letha Thompson Estep. 

Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by two sons, Dexter Monroe Estep and Jeffrey Lee Estep; one granddaughter, Rebecca Gail Estep; 
one grandson, Jason Clark; five brothers, Ernest, Ivan, Elmo, Jason, and Odell Estep; and three sisters, Janice and Sue Estep and Grace Plank.

Burnest is survived by his wife of sixty years, Vada Plank Estep; three sons, Jerry Estep, Burnest Allen Estep, and Scottie Estep, all of Morehead, Kentucky;
ten daughters, Arnetta Tackett, Lois Maher, Vickie Walling, Pamela Clark, Nancy Dillon, Hester Brown, Fern Smith, Melissa Ritchie, and Samantha Conley, 
all of Morehead, Kentucky, and Donna Pernell of Springfield, Ohio; 34 grandchildren; and 23 great-grandchildren.

Other survivors include two brothers, Ray Estep of Bloomington, Indiana, and Ronald Estep of Morehead, Kentucky; 
and three sisters, Alta Gulley of Morehead, Kentucky, Eula Faye Estep of West Liberty, Kentucky, and Carol Jean Deckard of Bedford, Indiana.

Burnest was a former logger, farmer, and heavy equipment operator.

Funeral services will be conducted at 1 p.m. Wednesday, May 2, 2007, at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals Memorial Chapel 
with the Rev. Cecil Ison and the Rev. Lloyd Dean officiating; burial will follow in the Estep Cemetery on Cranston Road. 
Grandsons will serve as pallbearers.

Visitation is after 6 p.m. Tuesday, May 1, 2007, at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals.
