Larry Marvin Deerfield Born – 1959 GRAYSON – Larry Marvin Deerfield, age 47, of Grayson, passed away Monday morning, April 30th, at Kings Daughters Medical Center, following a sudden illness. He was born July 25th, 1959, at Turner Air Force Base in Albany, Georgia, a son of the late Fred “Brock” Deerfield and Ruth Stewart Craig. He was employed with CSX as a carman welder and was a member of Railroad Local District 6344. His survivors include: His wife, Rita Clark Deerfield of Grayson; One daughter, Brandi Bailey of Pikeville; One Grandson, Landon Bailey of Pikeville; One brother, Mark Deerfield of Concord, NC; Two sisters, Sharon Jones of Hitchins, and Misty Deerfield of Louisville. Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday, May 2nd, at 2pm at the Malone Funeral Home with Keith Sergent, minister. Burial will be in the Everman Cemetery. Visitation will be held Tuesday evening from 6 to 9pm and after 9am Wednesday until service time at the funeral home. Condolences can be made to the Deerfield family at www.malonefuneralhome.com
