Kentucky GenWeb projectCARL W. DAVIS Portsmouth Daily Times Tuesday, March 28, 1989 Carl W. Davis, 75, of Portsmouth, died Monday at Heartland of Portsmouth. A native of Olive Hill, Ky., he was retired from Williams Manufacturing Co., and was a World War II Army veteran, having served as a medic, and a Methodist. Surviving are his wife, Hazel Goodan Davis; a sister, Evelyn Smedley of Dallas, Texas; and several nephews and nieces. Service is 1 p.m. Thursday at Daehler Funeral home, with the Rev. William Cramer officiating, and interment in Floral Hills Memory Gardens.
