Mrs. Gertrude Crank Stone, 37, wife of Elwood Stone, 269 North Diamond St., died yesterday at Madison hospital following a brief illness. 

Born in Carter County, Ky., March 2, 1917 Mrs. Stone had lived in Mansfield for the past 11 years. She was the daughter of Rev. Joseph Crank, 
pastor of the Free Will Baptist Church, and Mrs. Crank, and was an active member of the church. 

Surviving, besides her husband and parents, are two sons, Herbert Lee Sparks of Mansfield and Paul G. Sparks of Gallipolis; 
two daughters, Wilma Jean Stone, and Maralyn Gail Stone, both of Mansfield; two brothers, James Fraud and Fred Crank, both of Mansfield; 
five sisters, Mrs. James Pettry, Mrs. Posey Pettry and Mrs. Charles Stewart of West Virginia and Mrs. Claude Ash and Mrs. Steral Clay, both of Mansfield. 

Funeral services will be conducted at the J. H. Finefrock and Sons Funeral home at 10 a.m. tomorrow by Rev. D. R. Taylor. 
Burial will be in the Mansfield cemetery.
