Kentucky GenWeb projectBertha Brown ASHLAND, Ky. - Bertha Brown, 81, of Ashland died Nov. 30, 1999, at home after a long illness. She was a native of Carter County. Surviving: sons, Jack L. Sr. and Billy E., both of Ashland, Robert of Muncie, Ind.; daughters, Peggy A. Meade of Seth, W.Va., Linda Miller, Sandy Patton and Debbie Forrest, all of Ashland, Brenda Miller of Catlettsburg; brothers, Allen Clay of Anderson, Ind., Albert Clay of Florida; sisters, Emily Bowles, Geneva Prichard and Ethel Black, all of Ashland; 17 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren. Service will be 1 p.m. Friday at Marshall Steen Funeral Home, Ashland, with the Rev. Thorney Artrip officiating. Burial will be in Rose Hill Burial Park. Friends may call from 6 to 9 p.m. today at the funeral home.
