Kentucky GenWeb projectVernal Carroll The Ashland Daily Independent 3-6-1980 Vernal Carroll 67 of Rt 4 Louisa died Thursday in Grahn of a sudden illness. He was born March 4,1913 in Carter County a son of the late Daniel and Sally Sturgill Carroll. He was a retired laborer and veteran of World War II. Surviving are a son, Mike Carroll of Olive Hill; a daughter Jewell Howell of Rt 4 Louisa; a brother Clarence Sturgill of Grayson; and five grandchildren. Services were conducted at Oney Funeral Home in Olive Hill by J.D. Riggs, minister. Burial was in Mauk Cemetery.
