Thomas Carroll, fifty-one years old, 331 West Twenty-third street, a veteran of the World War, fell dead yesterday at 4:20 P.M. 
while helping rebuild a gasoline station at 1357 Third avenue. Dr. F. X. Schuller, Cabell county coroner, said death was due to heart disease. 

Mr. Carroll had been employed by the Swann Brothers Plumbing Co. for the past year. He had also been employed at the Chesapeake & Ohio railway shops, 
the Standard Ultramarine Co. plant and at other plants in the city. In ill health for several years, he had been a patient at various times at the 
U. S. Veterans' Hospital. 

The body was taken to the Hal O. Heck funeral home at Barboursville. Funeral arrangements were incomplete last night. 

Mr. Carroll is survived by the widow, Mrs. Helen Carroll; a son, Thomas Carroll Jr., at home; two stepdaughters, Mrs. G. W. Rice of Huntington and 
Mrs. F. E. Purse of Louisville, Ky., and two stepsons, Harry and Claude Roberts, both of Huntington.
