Marion "Hoot" F. Carroll, 81, died Sunday, Jan. 29, 2006, at Galion Community Hospital.    

Born Oct. 19, 1924, in Grahn, Ky. to Curtis E. and Maude Stevens Carroll.     

He worked at Mansfield Tire for 32 years, and owned and operated Carroll's Auto Wrecking for over 24 years.     

A member of the 25 Year Club of Mansfield Tire, Mr. Carroll enjoyed hunting, fishing, 
and playing Euchre. He also enjoyed shooting guns, farming, and raising German 
Shorthaired Pointers. One of his greatest qualities was always lending a 
helping hand, and sharing his wonderful "fish" tales.      

He is survived by seven children and their spouses, Fran Bauers, Debbie and Eddie Stallard, 
Shirley and Tom Deeb, Kathy and Richard Weaver, James Carroll, Myron and Kathy 
Carroll, and Michael Carroll; grandchildren, Cassandra (Jeff) Glover, Bonnie 
(Scott) Garvin, William Haywood, Geneva (Jason) Russel, Sara, Amanda, Heidi, 
Flisha, Melissa, Ashley, Eddie Jr., Joella, Anthony, and Desiree Stalllard, 
Tom Deeb II, Jessica (Dustin) Seitz, Mychi Deeb, Alisha Carroll, David and Jim 
Deeb, Bekah and Levi Lee, Andrea, Sarah, and Bradley Weaver, Marti, Chris, 
Bobbe, Jay, Dalton and Dallas, Cameron Robertson, and Matthew and Dylan 
Carroll; great-grandchildren, Shelby Bauers, Jessica Haywood, Maria Russel, 
Julianna McCoy, Alec Deeb, Colton, Chase, Brianna, and Baily; stepchildren, 
Lorena (Jim) Daugherty and family, Lisa (Tony) Frazier and family, John 
(LaDonia) Lykins and family, Angela Kegley and family, and Andrew Lykins and 
family; first wife, Margaret Carroll; brother and sister-in-law, Marvin and 
Pansy Carroll; and sister and brother-in-law, Nancy (John) Atkinson.      

He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Edith E. Carroll; daughter, 
Roxyann Carroll; and brothers and sisters, Rollen, Jeff, Maggie, Stanley, and 
Watt "Whitey" Carroll, and Jewell Fitzpatrick.      

Friends may call from 1 to 3 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 2, 2006, at the Ontario Home of Wappner 
Funeral Directors. Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Friday at the funeral 
home, conducted by Pastor David Greenich. Burial will follow in Greenlawn Cemetery, Crestline.
