Mrs. Annie Brown, 85, of 2400 Central Ave., Ashland, died at 8 a.m. today in Elmwood Nursing Home following a long illness.     

Mrs. Brown was born Oct. 2, 1899, in Ashland, a daughter of the late Landon and Martha Coleman Carroll.     

Surviving are a daughter, Ruth Bayes of Orlando, Fla.; two sons, James Brown of Santa Cruz, Calif., and Everett Brown of Ashland; 
eight grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.     

The funeral will be conducted at 10 a.m. Saturday at Golden Oaks Memorial Gardens.     

The body is at the Miller Funeral Home in Ashland, where friends may call from 6 to 9 p.m. Friday.
