Jim Campbell - 1927-2006

Jim Walter Campbell, 79, of Grayson, died Thursday in Our Lady of Bellefonte Hospital.

Mr. Campbell was born Nov. 23, 1927, in Lawrence County.

He is survived by his wife, Clotine Miller Campbell.

The funeral will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at Malone Funeral Home in Grayson. Burial will be in Campbell Family Cemetery.

Friends may call from 6 to 9 tonight at the funeral home.

1927 - 2006 

Jim Walter Campbell, age 79, of Grayson, KY, went to be with our Lord on Thursday, May 11th, 2006 in Our lady of Bellefonte Hospital. 

Walter was born January 23, 1927 at Lawrence County, KY, a son of the late Millard and Cora Adams Campbell. 


He was a Farmer , a U.S. Army Veteran and was of the Methodist Faith. 


In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by 1 son, Donald Campbell; 1 grandson, Keith Campbell of Grayson; 
2 brothers, Luther Campbell and Leroy Campbell both of Grayson and 3 sisters, Pauline Suttles, Faye Newland and Elsie Suttles all of Grayson. 


His survivors include: 

His wife of 59 years: 

Clotine Miller Campbell of Grayson 

2 sons: 

Arnold Campbell 

James Campbell both of Grayson 

1 daughter: 

Glenda Flannery of Oldtown, KY 

1 brother: 

Ray Campbell of Grayson, KY 

1 sister: 

Lila Spillman of Flatwoods, KY 

9 grandchildren 

and 8 great-grandchildren. 


Funeral services will be conducted Saturday, May 13th, 2006 at 1:00pm at the Malone Funeral Home with John Dean, minister. 
Burial will be in the Campbell Family Cemetery in Pactolus, KY. Graveside military rites will be conducted by the East Carter High School Jr. ROTC. 
Visitation will be held Friday evening, May 12th, from 6-9pm at the funeral home.
