THOMAS A. BURTON JR., 79, of Rush, husband of Kathryn Badgett Burton, died Tuesday at home. He retired from Armco as a roller helper. 

Also surviving are one son, Samuel T. Burton of Rush; and one daughter, Bertha J. Frazier of Jacksonville, Fla. 

Funeral 1 p.m. Friday at Lazear Funeral Home, Ashland; burial in Carter County Memory Gardens. 

Friends may call from 6 to 9 p.m. today at the funeral home.
