Henry Burchett

MANSFIELD -- Henry Burchett, 80, died Tuesday, Dec. 25, 2007, at MedCentral/Mansfield Hospital. 

Born March 4, 1927, in Carter County, Ky., he was the son of Jehu and Carrie Fannin Burchett. 
   
Henry served in the U.S. Army in World War II in the 78th Infantry Division and 296 and 279 MP Co. in Berlin, Germany. 

He retired from Ohio Brass after 38 years of service. 
Henry was a member and past master of the Venus Lodge 152, Mansfield Chapter 28, Mansfield Council 94, Mansfield Commandery 21 Knights Templar, 
Scottish Rite Valley of Canton 32 Degree Mason, Richland County Scottish Rite Association, Order of the Eastern Star Ruth Chapter 17, 
American Legion Earl D. McVey Post 16, VFW Ontario Post 7651. He was also a member of AARP and the NRA. 

He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Ruth Keaton Bur-chett; son, Mike (Cindy) Bur-chett of Mansfield; daughter, Sandra Mastandrea of Arizona; 
grandchildren, Sara (Josh) Ray, Megan Burchett, Eve (Cody) Cornell, and Dustin Mastandrea; brothers, Claude (Harietta) Burchett of Bucyrus, 
and Wendell (Pat) Burchett of Ashland, Ky.; and numerous nieces and nephews. 

He was preceded in death by his parents, Jehu and Carrie Burchett; brothers, Roy and Charles Burchett; and sisters, Viola Horsley and Coza Wells. 

Friends may call 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 27, 2007, at the Ontario Home of Wappner Funeral Directors where Masonic services will be at 7:30 p.m. 
Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday at the funeral home, conducted by Pastor Glen Phillips. 
Military graveside services, conducted by Richland County Joint Veteran's Burial Detail, will follow in Mansfield Memorial Park.
