Linda Holbrook 

1947-2004 

Linda Isabel Holbrook, 57, of Carter City, Ky., went to be with the Lord, Tuesday, Jan. 27, 2004, at her residence, following an extended illness. 

Mrs. Holbrook was born Jan. 8, 1947, in Newcomb, Ky., a daughter of Norma Stephens Boggs Thornsberry of Sandy Hook, Ky., and the late Arthur Boggs. 

Preceding her in death was a brother, Donald Boggs. 

She was a cancer survivor for 18 years and was a member of the Carter County Cancer Support Group and American Cancer Society. 
An avid seamstress, she donated quilts to the Carter Family Resource Center and was a committee member for Boy Scout Troop 171. 

In addition to her mother, she is survived by her husband, Harold "H.M." Holbrook; one son and daughter-in-law, Mark and Julia Holbrook of Shelbyville, Ky.; 
three daughters and two sons-in-law, Tina and Paul Johnson of Carter City, Rebecca Holbrook of Carter City, and Beth and Doug Waugh of Grayson; 
three brothers, Glen Boggs, Dennis Boggs, and Rick Boggs, all of Sandy Hook; 
two sisters, Odella Price of Sandy Hook and Helen Miller of Hitchins; seven grandchildren, Matthew and Justin Everman, Paige and Brianna Waugh, 
Austin and Kara Holbrook and Mackenzie Holbrook. 

Funeral services will be conducted Friday, Jan. 30, 2004, at 1 p.m. at the Malone Funeral Home in Grayson, 
with Bud Burnett, minister. Burial will be in the Boggs Family Cemetery. Friends may call this evening from 6 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.
