Lacy Blankenship, 61, of Lorain, died at his home Monday, after a short illness. 

Born in Enterprise, Ky., Mr. Blankenship lived in Lorain for 38 years. He worked in the bar mills of U.S. Steel Co. and its successor, 
USS/Kobe Steel Co. before retiring in 1989. He had worked for the company for 34 years. 

He was a member of Christian Life Church, Lorain. He enjoyed hunting and fishing and flea markets. 

Mr. Blankenship is survived by his wife of 39 years, Annie (nee Green); daughter, Judy Howard of Vermilion; sons Bill W. of Brunswick 
and James E. of Avon Lake; eight grandchildren; his mother, Tilda Lee of Lebanon, Ohio; and sisters, Inez Gatman of Morrow, Ohio, 
Angie Reynolds of Olive Hill, Ky., and Carma Holbrook of Lorain. 

He was preceded in death by his father, John in 1956; and by a brother, Thomas in 1967. 

Friends may call 4 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at the John J. Gluvna Funeral Chapel, 3224 Broadway, Lorain. 
Services will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral chapel. The Rev. James Justice, pastor of Christian Life Church, will officiate. 
Burial will be in Resthaven Memory Gardens, Avon. Memorial contributions may be made to Christian Life Church, 3559 W. Erie Ave., Lorain 44053.
