Dorothy Binion Adkins 

1930-2004 

Dorothy Binion Adkins, age 73, of Grayson, Ky., went to be with the Lord on Tuesday evening, Jan. 13, 2004, at her residence. 

She was born Feb. 1, 1930, in Carter County, Ky., a daughter of the late Robert and Gladys Tackett Binion. 

She was formerly employed with Corbin, was a farmer, and was a member of the Hopewell Holiness Church. 

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Ray Adkins, in 1990; a grandson, Jason Adkins; two sisters, Elizabeth Dorn and Ginny Galindo; and a stepgranddaughter, Robin Lawson. 

Her survivors include two sons, Phillip Ray Adkins of Lawrenceburg, Ind., and Danny Lee Adkins of Grayson; a daughter, Kathy James of Olive Hill, Ky.; three brothers, William Binion, Franklin D. Binion, and Robert Binion, all of Grayson; a sister, Roberta Parsons of Grayson; four grandchildren, Jeremiah James, Sonie Mucker, Ruth Denise Adkins and Courtney Adkins; a stepgrandson; 11 stepgreat-grandchildren; and a great-grandchild. 

Funeral services will be conducted Saturday, Jan. 17, 2004, at 2 p.m. at the Malone Funeral Home in Grayson with Lewis Baier and Jim McCoy, ministers. Burial will be in Everman Cemetery. 

Friends may call from 6 to 9 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
