Kentucky GenWeb projectGarnet Wilburn 1942-2004 Garnet Bertram Wilburn, age 61, of Grayson, Ky., passed away on Wednesday morning, March 17, 2004, at her residence. She was born Oct. 7, 1942, in Greenup County, Ky., a daughter of the late Ed and Lotty Mars Bertram. Preceding her in death were a son, Roy Gene Wilburn; and a brother, Abbie Bertram. Her survivors include three sons, Bobby Ray Bertram of Greenup, Ky., William Wilburn of Ashland, Ky., and Ervin Raymond Wilburn of South Shore, Ky.; five daughters, Sharon Kay Burton of Grayson, Rose Jordan of Carter, Ky., Louvena Wilburn of Greenup, Ruth Ann French of Flatwoods, Ky., and Louise Dyer of Ashland, Ky.; four brothers, Don Bertram, Jim Bertram, Wess Bertram and Bill Bertram, all of Greenup; five sisters, Hazel Rhoden and Myrtle Madden, both of Greenup, Bernice Bertram of California, and Annie Rose Bertram and Francis Bertram, both of Ohio; her significant other, James Dudley Hamilton; 19 grandchildren; and a great-grandchild. Graveside services will be conducted Friday at 3 p.m. at the family cemetery with Larry Barrell, minister. Burial will follow. Friends may call tonight after 6 p.m. at the family residence. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Shriners. Malone Funeral Home in Grayson is in charge of arrangements.
