Lee Otis Berry - 1930-2007

Lee Otis Berry, 76, went to be with the Lord surrounded by his loving family on Tuesday, May 22, 2007, at his residence in Wurtland, Ky.

He was born on Oct. 13, 1930, in Hindman, Ky., a son of the late Dallas and Creole Short Berry.

He was a retired paver for Mountain Enterprises and a member of the Ashland Laborers Union and Temple Baptist Church in Flatwoods, Ky.

Lee enjoyed life and cherished his family and grandchildren. He loved camping and going on vacations to Florida, but most of all he loved going to church. 
He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather.

He is survived by his loving wife of 56 years, Louise Cox Berry, whom he married on July 17, 1951; 
a son, Richard Lee Berry and his wife, Judith, of Wurtland; a daughter, Robin Nickell and her husband, Rick, of Russell, Ky.; 
six grandchildren, Doniella (James) Mattox of Lexington, Crystal (Wes) Townsend of Greenup, Ky., Kelena (Adam) Stapleton of Russell, 
Johnathan Lee (Jessica) Berry of Germany/Iraq, Devin Ray McClurg of Russell and Kyle Berry of Wurtland; five great-grandchildren, 
Dixielee, Leo, Daliafaith, Chloe and Landon; two brothers, James (Carolyn) Berry of Denton and William (Gloria Jean) Berry of Grayson; 
a sister, Nemo (Bill) Hall of Hitchins; several loving nieces and nephews; and his special friend, Butter Scotch, his dog.

Brother Jim Pridemore will have funeral services at 1 p.m. Friday, May 25, 2007, at Temple Baptist Church in Flatwoods. 
Burial will be in Baker Cemetery in Grayson.

Visitation will be at Wright’s Funeral Home in Greenup from 6 to 9 p.m. today, May 24, 2007, and an hour before services Friday at the church.

Pallbearers will be Danny Craft, Leslie Craft, Larry Craft, Dave Willis, Tom Vergne and Patrick Craft.
