Stirl Bear 1910-2002 - 

Stirl Bear went to be with the Lord on Nov. 28, 2002. He was born Nov. 28, 1910, to the late Elmus and Ida Lee Johnson  
Bear in Elliott County, Ky.     

He was married to Gladys Carroll Bear for nearly 70 years before her death in 1998.     

He was retired from General Refractories Brickyard and attended the Church of God.     

Mr. Bear was also preceded in death by a son, Ova "Yogi" Bear and a daughter, Juanita Sparks; two grandsons, Timothy Bear and Keith Bear;
a granddaughter, Brenda Bear.     

He is survived by three sons, Ray (Helen) Bear, Maxy Bear, and Clell Bear; two daughters, Genevia (Bill) Gilbert and 
Sharon (Vernon) Rose, all of Olive Hill; two grandchildren that they raised, a granddaughter, Kathy Bear Binion, and a granddson, 
Doug Bear Musgrave; a special caregiver, Mindy Musgrave; and a host of friends and family; 30 grndchildren and their spouses, 
58 great-grandchildren, and 10 great-great-grandchildren.     

Pallbearers are: Doug Musgrave, Kevin Bear, Scott Bear, Steve Rose, Anthony Bear, and Ova S. Bear.     

Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Sunday at the Oney-Henderson Funeral Home in Olive Hill, officiated by Eddie Lewis and Bobby Day.
Burial will be in the Bear Cemetery.      

Friends may call at 3 p.m. today at the funeral home.
