James Wallace Barnhill, 93, of Grayson went to be with his Lord at his residence Monday, December 10, 2007 following a brief illness.  

He was born November 25, 1914 in Carter Co. a son of the late Jepta “T” and Eliza Lock Barnhill.  

He was an Army WWII veteran, farmer, retired from Bartlett Tree, a former employee of the Carter Co. School Bus System, and attended the 
Cane Creek Freewill Baptist Church .  

He was preceded in death by two sisters; Elizabeth Clanin and Ollie Barnhill; two brothers Henry and Dale Barnhill.  

He is survived by his wife of 61 years Charlotte Sallie Barnhill; four daughters and son in laws Frances (James E) Barnhill of Grayson, 
Janet (Joe) Sweeney of Olive Hill KY, Karen (Bob) Gee and Connie (Tim) Blevins both of Grayson.  Six grandchildren and four great grandchildren.  

Funeral services will be conducted Thursday 1:00 p.m. at the Malone Funeral Home in Grayson by Sheldon Wheeler, Ronnie Blevins and Larry Sanders ministers.  

Burial will be in the East Carter Co. Memory Gardens .  

Friends may call from 6-9 Wednesday at Malone Funeral Home, and after 9:00 a.m. Thursday.
