Harold Barker

 PERRYSVILLE -- Harold Barker, 56, died Sunday, Nov. 12, 2006, at the home of his daughter. 
He passed away peacefully, surrounded by his loving family after a courageous 10-month battle with cancer. 			   
		   
Harold was born April 9, 1950 in Grahn, Ky., and was the son of the late Claude and Ruby (Burton) Barker. He was a Perrysville resident since 1972, living in Ohio since 1968, growing up in Kentucky. He was a former 22-year employee of White Westinghouse Company of Mansfield, Di-Ol Products, Loudonville and was presently working for Mansfield Assemblies Company. On March 13, 1970, he married Teresa G. Wright, who preceded him in death, July 13, 2004. He was a loving father and grandfather, who loved spending time with his family and friends and always had a special smile for everyone he met. 
He is survived by his daughter and son-in-law, Cassandra and Michael McCaskey of Perrysville; his son and daughter-in-law, Jeff and Jaclyn Barker of Gahanna; three grandchildren, Kenneth and Bryce McCaskey of Perrysville and Rebeccah McCaskey of Mansfield; two brothers, Elwood (Paula) Barker of Olive Hill, Ky. and Ivan (Rhonda) Barker of Grayson, Ky.; six sisters, Mary Francis (Earsel) Barker of Grahn, Ky., Flora (Phil) Blevins of Perrysville, Geraldine (Larry) Roberts of Ashland, Ky., Barbara (Arnold) Stanley of Perrysville, Juanita (Ronnie) Callahan of Grahn, Ky. and Joyce (Dan) Gretzinger of Mansfield; his mother-in-law, Mary Evans of Perrysville; two sisters-in-law, Dale (Jim) Rhodes and Tracy Frank, all of Perrysville; one brother-in-law, Oranged (Debbie) Evans of Mansfield; 51 nieces and nephews; 83 great-nieces and nephews; eight great-great-nieces and nephews; his special nephew and nieces, Bo (Jodi) Thompson, Tonya Purdy, Angie (Dr. Al) Granson and Nathan Callahan; his very special cousin, Brenda Swanson and very special friends, Adair Hootman, Tom Putman, Connie Lape and Wanda Thompson. 
He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife; three brothers, Carmel, Billy Ray and Claude Barker; two sisters, Charlotte and Arlene Barker; one sister-in-law, Edna Thompson and three nephews, Kenny Wright, Jeremy Thompson and Nicholas Bond. 
Graveside services will be at 3:15 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 15, in Greenlawn Cemetery, Perrysville, with the Rev. Howard Burnett, officiating. Friends may call from 2 to 3 p.m. Wednesday in Byerly-Lindsey Funeral Home, Loudonville. The family requests that you come dressed as you are.
