Kentucky GenWeb projectAshland Daily Independent (Friday, January 21, 1930) HITCHINS NEWS. Ora Abbott, who has been ill from pneumonia fever for a few days, died at his home Wednesday morning. Mr. Abbott had lived here for a number of years and was a highly respected citizen. He is survived by his wife and two small sons. The funeral will be held Thursday with burial at the Bellen cemetery near Leon. Note: Actually he was buried in the Bellew Cemetery. Ora was the son of Loran and Ella (Luella Amanda) Madden Abbott.
