The present owners of the land
where the cemetery is on is Cindy and Art
McCoy (from Indiana). The cemetery was on the hill in back of the
original house. A view of the cemetery on Art and Cindy McCoy's property
looking East overlooking Gunpowder Creek. From left and behind from
where I took this photo was a sinkhole which was used for rubbish.
In the cemetery itself are several depressions (graves). Tombstones have
been moved and reversed against the Cedar trees to protect the stones.
Wear boots and long pants to avoid poison ivy.

Infant CLARK - son of B. & A. S. Clark
Died: April 15, 1860
Aged: 2 dys
Laura B. Marshal married Charles Clark, but they were both born abt
1856. Maybe Benjamin was Charles Clark's father who shows up in the
1850 census living close by (District 1, 167)

Andrew JACKSON
Born: 1828 - Died: 1850
This was the Andrew Jackson that I could not place. The stone is
really hard to read. Could have been someone hired to work
either of the two Marshall farms.

H. MARSHALL
the BCHPRB family sheet was a stone that just has a bottom. died
Oct 4, 1848/aged 20 yrs 2 mo 11 days. The closest I can determine
is that this is Henry Marshall born November 05, 1827. He does not
appear in the 1850 census. Son of William Marshall and Elizabeth Magruder
who migrated to Mexico, Audrian Co. Mo after his father Alexander
died in 1843.

James W. MARSHALL - son of James & Eleanor Marshall
Born: Jan 24, 1829 - Died: May 1883
The BCHPRB family sheet on the Marshall Cemetery has James W. Marshall
(January 24, 1829 and died May 1883) should read May 4, 1864. Refer
to Will Book I-515 Sally F. Marshall (admin) estate settlement and
Boone Co.,Ky., Will Bk.H,p.423. This James W. Marshall was son of
James M. Marshall.

Napoleon MARSHALL
Ann Heyler MARSHALL
Napoleon and Ann (Heyler) Marshall are also buried in this cemetery
but there are no stones. I was reading the newspaper 1900 and 1905 obits
in the Recorder and they indicate that both were buried in the family
plot (living in Frogtown area). The 1870/1880 census show them in Big
Bone. When Napoleon's mother Eveline died in 1882, they moved from Big
Bone to the farms on Gunpowder Creek and lived next to his brother Alexander.
