ATHS Charter Member Dies

Mary Jane Stith, 81, of Elizabethtown, died Sunday, Nov 29, 1998 at Atria Elizabethtown, Ky.

She was a member of St. John Catholic Church, the National Postmasters Association, Ancestral Trails Historical Society and the Hardin County Historical Society. She served as Postmaster of Rineyville post Office, before retiring in 1979. Formerly of Rineyville, she was a native of Hart County.

She is survived by two sons, Jay Stith, Irvington and Hermie Stith, Hardyville; a daughter Libbie Walters, Lexington; a brother, Morris Hhamilton, Hodgenville; six grandchildren; and two great grandchildren.

The funeral service was held at St. John Catholic Church with Rev. Stanley Osbourne officiating. Burial was in the church cemetery.
