ATHS Charter Member Dies

Ado "A.J." Emerine, 100, of Vine Grove, died Thursday, Dec 3, 1998, at Hardin Memorial Hospital, Elizabethtown, Ky.

He was past executive vice president of Farmers Bank in Vine Grove for 53 years before retiring in 1992. 
He was a member of Vine Grove United Methodist Church since 1939, was a 75 year member of the Masonic Lodge in Carrsville and was a Kentucky Colonel.

He was preceded in death by his wives: Callie Foster Emerine and Viva Foster Emerine.

Survivors include two sons, Ollie Emerine M.D. of New Smyrna Beach Fla., and Keith Emerine of Vine Grove; one daughter , Mabel Lewis of Vine Grove; one sister Mildred Jeffords of Lathrop, Calif.; five grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren.

The funeral was on Monday, December 7th at Nelso-Edlen-Bennett Funeral Home in Vine Grove, Ky with the Rev. Chris Howlett officiating. Burial was in the Elizabethtown Memorial Gardens.
