  Art Michaelis
Henri Michaelis of Luxembourg and his wife Katherine Ruff of Germany moved to Newbury (near Paxico) from Indianapolis in 1870. They both died in 1894 of pneumonia within a few days of each other. 9 Michaelis children were born of the marriage; John Henry, Henry John, Margaret, Floribert, Elizabeth, Nicholas, Rupert, Joseph Martin, & Geroge Michael. I am looking for any and all information on the family and their descendants.

JULIEN, CROUCH, GABOT, OLIVER, JACOBS, SUITER, LAFOUNTAIN, ETIENNE, BUZZARD - John Peter and Mary Jennie HAMILTON JULIEN lived about a mile south of the river at Wamego in Wabaunsee County beginning in the 1870's. Their children were Mrs. Franklin J. (Sarah Frances JULIEN) OLIVER; Victor who married Isabel GABOT; Charles Hamilton who married Minnie A. JACOBS; Mrs. Joel A. (Eva JULIEN) CROUCH, Naoma Adelle and several other children who died young. John Peter's brother John JULIEN also came with him from Belgium, along with Joseph LA FOUNTAIN (perhaps a cousin) and perhaps some of the ETIENNE'S. A BUZZARD family purchased land with them. They are perhaps from Mary Jennie HAMILTON JULIEN'S side of the family in Ohio. After Peter's death, Mary Jennie JULIEN married John SUITOR.

I am looking for descendants of Thomas Taylor and his wife Jane Cope. Thomas was born in Aylesby, Lincolnshire, England in 1833 and emigrated to Cincinnati. He spent most of his life in Eskridge, Wabaunsee County, Kansas. Thomas and Jane's children include John Franklin (1855-?, married Emma Ballard), Laura (1860-?, married John Gibby), and Mary Jane (1864-?, married William Wilson).

Searching for Ernst LUESCH family who were living near Wells Creek about 1855-1865. The were a number of children in the family and my grandfather, Charles LUESCH was put up for adoption around 1885. The family name has been spelled as LISH and LISK on different papers.

EYMAN--Jacob Washington and Rebecca (Richie) Eyman moved from PA to KS in about 1860. They had children named Gregory Madison, Joseph L., Ella, Ida L., Vanetta, Molly and twins Harvey and Heartly. Joseph became a doctor and practiced and/or taught in Nemaha, Wabaunsee, Sedgwick, Brown and Marshall counties. Harvey became a caretaker of a Harvey house for the railroad and Hartely may have been involved in real estate. I am looking for relatives of Nellie Nulk Buck, married to Joe Buck. She died in 1942 and is buried in Dwight Cemetary in Morris County, KS. She is the sister of my grandfather, William Nulk, who is buried in Humbolt Creek Cemetary in Wabaunsee County. Am also looking for grave of August Nulk, their father, and my ggrandfather. William Nulk and his family also lived in Geary County in the later 1920's.

John ANDIS b. 1801 VA came to Johnson Co, IN in 1830s; entered 160 acres land. Sold out 1868 and moved to either Osage or Wabaunsee County, KANSAS. Land deed transferring land sold to his son, Isaac, in 1869, says, "..John Andis and his wife Elizabeth Andis of Osage Co, Kansas..." His signature was certified in Wabaunsee Co, KS on 9 Apr 1869. Dearly need to know where in KS and when John ANDIS and wife Elizabeth ANDIS died, and where they are buried. Will reciprocate on lookups in several Indiana counties. Seeking information on parents of Francis Marion MEREDITH in Wabaunsee County. For many years, Francis Marion lived in Eskridge, ran the Hotel Meredith, and held--if his obituary of 1905 is to be believed--elective office in Eskridge. He was born in Missouri, moved to Indiana at a young age, and came to Kansas after the Civil War. His father and mother were James MEREDITH and Margaret WILLIAMS. James is buried in the Harveyville cemetery but I have no information on his date of death, birthplace, or other family. Any help would be greatly appreciated!
