The following is taken from Cemeteries in Sumner County, Kansas by Harvey and Ruth Swan (1983).

"No names available, Chicaskia Twnsp, R3W, T33, Sec 2, the graves were about 1/4 mile west of the SE corner of the section and about 50' North of the hedgerow.  Location from Mayfield: 4S, 3W.

We found rocks that had been around 3 graves made in the pioneer days.  They were of a man, woman and a child who died of a strange disease and were not permitted burial in a regular cemetery.  In later years, the rocks were removed to the hedgerow so the area could be farmed."

Do you know the names of these three people?  Contact the SCHGS
