The following is taken from Cemeteries in Sumner County, Kansas by Harvey and Ruth Swan (1983).

"Doster Cemetery, Bluff Twnsp, R 4 W, T 34, Sec 22, in the N 80 of NE 1/4.  Location from Caldwell: 6 W, 2 3/4 N.  This is a 2 acre plot established in Jan 1883 or earlier.

In the first Warranty Deed after the Patent and Receipt from the United States Government, a two-acre tract is shown as being used a s a graveyard.  The Warranty Deed gives the following information: S.B. Hunt and wife Mary J. deeded the Northeast Quarter of Section 22, Township 34 South, Range 4 West of the 6th Principal Meridian, in Sumner county Kansas, EXCEPT 2 acres used for a graveyard to William R. Pugh.  This deed was dated Jan 12, 1883, and filed in the office of the Register of Deeds at the Courthouse in Wellington, KS.

A mortgage dated in 1937, continued to show this EXCEPTION for a cemetery.  This is the last instrument mentioning the cemetery.  The next instrument is a Warranty Deed dated July 5, 1945, and contains no mention of the cemetery."
