Cemetery History
Thiessen Cemetery is a small family burial plot believed to have been started in 1893. It holds only five graves, two of which were moved from other locations on the Thiessen farm. Some time ago the farm was sold and the burial plot was to be destroyed. Members of the family purchased the small burial plot in 1977 and had a fence placed around it. [1978]
2009 Update: The cemetery is maintained through a foundation overseen by the Zoar Mennonite Church in Inman, KS.
