Cemetery History
Although Peace Creek Church was located in the SW Corner of Sec. 8-23-10, there was apparently no land available for a cemetery. Thus, the cemetery was located away from the church, one mile west and ½ mile north of the church site. The oldest grave stone carries the date of 1877. The Peace Creek church history was published in 2007 in a book titled A Prairie Beacon. A copy can be found in the Hutchinson Public Library
