2004 - Fall Newsletter - 2004

Another year has slipped away from us and it is time to start planning for the ANNUAL MEETING, which will be held on November 16, 2004, at Museum #2, 207 West Main, Parker, Kansas, at 7:30 p.m. At said meeting Board of Directors officers will be elected. Projects for 2005 will be discussed along with any other business presented to the board.

Immediately following the Annual Meeting the regular monthly meeting of P.C.H.S. will be held. Officers for 2005 will be elected.

There will not be work days or meeting in December.

Annual MEMBERSHIP DUES for November 1, 2004 through October 31, 2005 are now due. Single Membership is $5.00 each and a lifetime membership is $50.00. Checks may be made payable to P.C.H.S.

The Museums were open during Memorial weekend and on Parker Harvest Fest day, September 25, 2004, from 9:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. The registration book indicated we had 100 visitors. This is the largest number of visitors in a long time. P.C.H.S. sincerely appreciates all who stopped in for a visit. Anyone who is interested in seeing our museums are welcomed. By appointment it will be opened. Just give Cheryl Erwin, 913-898-6891; John Riggs, 913-898-2337; or Eugene & Marjorie Prentice, 913-898-3201 a call.

With our new heating system, we are able to get some much needed work done at the museums. On the first and third Tuesday's we begin the projects at 8:30 a.m. and work until ???. Come join us, you'll enjoy the fellowship and satisfaction of knowing you've had a hand in improving the museums.

From the Memorial Fund of Clyde Lile we have obtained signs for the museums and school house. Our "Thanks" to Kenny Prentice for completing this project.

Several new items have been donated or loaned to the Society Museums. We extend a big "Thank You" to each and all.
