Alice (Norton) Bergeman

I was born in Kingfisher, Oklahoma, on January 10th, 1921 to Robert and Gladys (Grauberger) Norton.

I had two brothers and one sister: William Robert, who passed away August 28, 1955; Donald Eugene, who lives in Summerfield, Florida, and is married to Shirley; and Wanda Leota Ashlock, who lives in Protection with her husband, E.L.

We moved to the Protection area in 1941 to the J.B. Waters farm, then later moved into town.

I married Wendel Ferrin of Wilmore in 1949 and we lived on the old Ferrin farm. We had three sons, Darrell, Jerry and Brent, and one daughter, Janet. We moved to Tucson, Arizona in June of 1966. Wendel and I were divorced in 1975. Brent passed away on August 9th, 1994, after a lengthy illness; my other children still live in Tucson, as do Dominique, Darrell's daughter, and Dennis Fought, Janet's son.

I went to work at Hughes Aircraft on August 2, 1966, and retired December 1st, 1986, after 20 years.

I married Randall Wilson in 1975, he retired from Magma Copper Company in San Manuel, Arizona, after 31 years. He passed away December 16, 1992.

I married Donald Bergeman, formerly from Wisconsin, on Feburary 6th, 2000. He has one son here and two daughters in Wisconsin.
