John Stoll
John Henry Stoll, eldest son of Mr. and Mrs. George Stoll, was born Sept. 24, 1874 Rose Kansas, and departed this life July 18, 1940, at his home near Rose at the age of 65 years, 9 months and 14 days. He was united in marriage Sept. 27, 1894, to Minnie Pearl Gaston of Rose. To this union was born one daughter, Mrs. Vera McGuire, St. Joseph, MO. Mrs. Stoll passed away July 18, 1899. He was united in marriage to Ida Mae Slater of Rose, Oct. 31, 1900. To this union were born seven children, Margrette Mae, having died in infancy. Besides his wife, he leaves John Edward Stoll of Claire, Mich., Velda Linquist of McPherson, Bertha Williams of Buffalo, and Floyd Oliver, Ned Charles and Louise Mary, of the home. There are also nine brothers, one sister and a host of other relatives and friends, 146 of whom attended his funeral. Scripture lesson, John 14. Sermon subject, Memory and Faith.
Services were at Rose Methodist church July 20, 1940. Singers Rev. and Mrs. Green. Pianist, Florence Blackwood. Interment in Buffalo Cemetery.
