C.A. 'Buster' Hathaway

C.A. 'Buster' Hathaway, 77, died March 8, 1996, at Medicine Lodge Memorial Hospital.

He was born March 1, 1919, at Yuma, Colorado, the son of Charles A. and Dora Belle (West) Hathaway.

A resident of Sun City for more than 50 years, he was owner and operator of Buster and Alma's Tavern at Sun City.

He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II, a member of the Pratt Elks Lodge and a life member of the VFW at Medicine Lodge.

On July 4, 1941, he married Alma Ward at Coldwater. She died July 5, 1991.

Survivors include: a son, Steve, Las Vegas, Nevada; a sister, Almeta Tanner, Yuma, Colorado; a sister-in-law, Helen Axtell, Pratt; and three grandchildren.

Funeral services were held Monday, March 11, 1996, at Ayres-Calbeck Mortuary, Pratt, with the Rev. Jeff Woods presiding. Burial was in Sunnyside Cemetery, Sun City.

Memorials may be sent to the donor's choice in care of the mortuary.
