1395. Roy Palmer METCALF Jr. was born on 28 September 1936. He died on 5 July 1966 at the age of 29.

Son of Roy P. & May Metcalf. Father of Gary Lee, Larry Gene & Jerry Wayne, and daughter Dayna Lynn Lansaw, b. 6 Sep 1954.

Roy Palmer METCALF Jr. and Lora Madeline LANSAW were married on 30 January 1953. Lora Madeline LANSAW, daughter of Worthy Fay LANSAW and Lora Elisabeth BUNCH, was born on 27 June 1935. She died on 3 May 2008 at the age of 72.

Lora M. "Pookie" Metcalf, age 72, of Joplin, passed away and went to be with the Lord on May 3, 2008, at 2:20 a.m. at St. John's Regional Medical Center from injuries sustained in an automobile accident. Mrs. Metcalf was born June 27, 1935, in Loveland, Colorado to the late Worthy F. Lansaw Sr. and Lora E. Lansaw. A homemaker, she worked for several years as a waitress. She then worked for St. John's Hospital for 26 years. She was a member of the Daughter's of the American Revolution, the Heartland Doll Club in Joplin, and the St. John's Prestige. She was also a member of the First Assembly of God in Joplin. She married Roy Jr. Metcalf on Jan. 30, 1953, in Springfield, Mo. He preceded her in death on July 5, 1966. Lora was also preceded in death by her only granddaughter, Rachelle Metcalf; three sisters, Reva Grimmett, Geneva Lansaw and Shirley Lansaw; and three brothers, Worthy Jr. Lansaw, Gene Lansaw and John Lansaw. Survivors include her three sons, Gary Metcalf, Jerry Metcalf and wife, Lilly and Larry Metcalf and wife, Melanie, all of Joplin; four grandsons, Jason Metcalf, of Winfield, Ala., Chad Harris, of Carl Junction, Mo., Colby and Ronnie Metcalf, both of Joplin; nine great-grandchildren; two brothers, Wayne Lansaw, of Wyandotte, Okla., and Lee Lansaw, of Joplin; three sisters, Joyce Robinson, of Miami, Okla., Janice Lansaw and Sherra Cognetti, both of Sonora, Calif.; 14 nieces; and nine nephews. Funeral services will be Tuesday, May 6, at 11 a.m. in Parker Mortuary Chapel with Rev. Wallace Joice officiating. Interment will follow in Mount Hope Cemetery with Gary Metcalf, Jerry Metcalf, Colby Metcalf, Ronnie Metcalf, Jason Metcalf and Larry Metcalf serving as pallbearers. The family will receive friends at Parker Mortuary on Monday from 6 to 7 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to the First Assembly of God Church, Joplin.

Gary Lee METCALF was born on 14 December 1953. He died on 6 November 2012 at the age of 58 in Joplin, Jasper County, Missouri.

Geneva Fern LANSAW, daughter of Worthy Fay LANSAW and Lora Elisabeth BUNCH, was born on 1 October 1937 in Colorado. She died on 1 March 1989 at the age of 51 in Santa Clara County, California.

LANSAW, Geneva Fern, 51, of Milpitas, testing operator with Signetics Corp. Private family services with burial in Joplin, Mo. Arrangements by Lima Family-Erickson Garden Room Chapel, San Jose.

Geneva Fern Lansaw, 51, Milpitas, Calif., a former Joplin resident, died Wednesday at her home after a sudden illness.
Mrs. Lansaw was born Oct. 1, 1937, at Campion, Colo. She resided in Joplin from 1939 to 1969 and then she moved to California. For the past seven years, she was employed as a laborer and electronics manufacturer for Signetic Corp., San Jose, Calif. She attended Joplin Public Schools. She was employed as a waitress in several Joplin restaurants. She was a member of Cathedral of Faith, San Jose.
Survivors include a daughter, Dayna Rita, Milpitas; her mother, Lora Lansaw, Joplin; five brothers, Johnny Lansaw, Junior Lansaw, Gene Lansaw and Lee Lansaw, all of Joplin, and Wayne Lansaw, Nogales, Ariz.; five sisters, Reva Grimmette (sic) and Lora Metcalf, both of Duenweg, Joyce Robinson, Commerce, Okla., and Sherra Cognetti and Janice Lansaw, both of San Jose; and four grandchildren.
Arrangements are pending with Parker Mortuary.
