FITZGERALD Mamie "Louise" Lake, 91, born Mar 4, 1918 and died on June 2, 2009. She retired from Proctor and Gamble and was a member of Devondale Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her parents James and Venus Payton Lake, one brother, and five sisters. She is survived by her son, Donald Aubrey; siblings, James (Bertha) Lake and Mary Lake Smith; grandchildren, Catherine Louise (Donnie) Aubrey Bowers and Cynthia Joanne Aubrey; and great-grandchildren, Brandon, Jordan, and Jalyn Bowers. Funeral, Friday, 1:30pm, Milward-Southland, by Pastor Bobby Aldridge with burial following at Lexington Cemetery. Visitation Fri 12pm til the funeral hour.

Lake, James T "Jimmy"
84, husband of Bertha "Mickey" Lake for 64 years, passed away Fri, Dec 17, 2010. Born in Lexington, he was a son of the late James and Venus Payton Lake. A retired skilled handyman, he was currently employed by K-Mart and a former member of Northside Baptist Church. Jimmy was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and great grandfather. Besides his wife, survivors include a daughter, Lynda (Archie W.) Falin; 6 grandchildren, Veronica (Thom) Brown, Aaron (Lisa) Falin, Eric (Kim) Lake, and Nora, Courtney, and Jessica Lake; 8 great grandchildren; a sister, Mary Smith; and a daughter-in-law, Norma Lake. He was preceded in death by a son, Larry James "Jim" Lake, a daughter, Lois Jean Lake, and three sisters and a brother. Funeral services will be 12 Noon Tue, Dec 21 at Kerr Brothers Funeral Home, Main St. by Bro. Bobby Aldridge with burial to follow in Camp Nelson National Cemetery.

James Thomas LAKES and Venus PEYTON were married. Venus PEYTON was born on 11 February 1890 in Lexington, Fayette County, Kentucky. She died on 6 May 1955 at the age of 65 in Lexington, Fayette County, Kentucky.
