916. Grover Cleveland GABBARD was born on 12 January 1890 in Jackson County, Kentucky. He died on 4 November 1970 at the age of 80 in Hamilton, Butler County, Ohio.

Grover C. Gabbard: Grover was a teacher, carpenter, WPA Supervisor in the 1930's. He worked at Niles Tool Works, Ford Motor plant, Sterling Pump Company and Estate Stove Co. He helped build Judson W. Gabbard's home on Allison Ave in Hamilton. Grover enjoyed Fishing, gardening and remodeling work. After retiring he enjoyed selling home grown produce from a pushcart and hunted Pawpaws in Indiana. He purchased a new 1937 Ford while employed at Ford and carried a vaid Ohio driver's License, yet he never learned to drive. He bought the car so he wouldn't have to use other people's vehicles when he needed to go somewhere. He often asked Bert Barrett to drive him places. Grover was active and hard-working until his sudden death from a heart attack at 80 years of age.

Grover Cleveland GABBARD and Lucy M. BARRETT were married on 18 December 1913 in Berea, Madison County, Kentucky. Lucy M. BARRETT was born on 11 August 1895 in Berea, Madison County, Kentucky. She died on 29 August 1995 at the age of 100 in Fairfield, Butler County, Ohio.

Lucy's middle initial "M" was not associated with a name. She added the middle initial to help eliminate confusion that had arisen at the Social Security Administration. She worked at Estate Stove Co. on East Avenue, Hamilton, Ohio, as an Inspector on the paint line.Devoutly religious, she attended West Side Baptist Church on Gordon Ave. in Hamilton.In Later Years, she and a neighbor, May Baird, would attend virtually every church function. Christmas was major event at her home and was always attended by everyone in the family and always included a phone call from granddaughter Sandy who lived in Texas. She celebrated her 100th Birthday at Glen Manor Nursing Home on Hamilton-Mason Road, in Hamilton. She is buried in the Gabbard family plot at Greenwood Cemetery, Hamilton, OH. She baked incredible chocolate cakes and never met a person she didn't like.
