Kentucky Death Index and Social Security list his name as "Powell". The gravestone of infant Floyd William Isaacs who was apparently born and died 4 Sep 1941 has the baby as son of "Powell" Isaacs. He appears as Pal in all the census records and he was likely named Palestine for his grandfather - perhaps changed his name as he grew older.
