Matilda GABBARD and Merrill LAKES were married on 8 November 1852 in Estill County, Kentucky. Merrill LAKES, son of Carter LAKES and Eady SKINNER, was born on 15 October 1832 in Estill County, Kentucky.⁸⁰ He died on 2 December 1900 at the age of 68 in Jackson County, Kentucky. He was also known as Murrell Lakes.
