He died on 27 February 1932 at the age of 69 in Rocky Comfort, McDonald County, Missouri.

The PINEVILLE HERALD, Friday, February 1932:
George C. Harrison died at his home in Rocky Comfort Friday morning, Feb. 26, at the age of 69 years, 7 months and 6 days. Heart trouble was the cause of his death. Deceased was a highly respected citizen and was a member of the Christian church. He leaves a wife, one son, six daughters and a large number of other relatives and friends. He had been the Republican committeeman from Rocky Comfort for several years. Funeral services were held at the grave Sunday afternoon, conducted by Rev. Hartsell of Rocky Comfort. Burial was in the Rocky Comfort cemetery.
