Ella Malson, age 30, died 12 Feb 1888, married, b. Boon Co, MO, died in Huggins Township, Consumptive, sick for 1 year, 6 months. buried Brick Church on Feb 14th.

Lucinda Ellen GABBERT and James William MALSON were married on 14 March 1872. James William MALSON was born on 6 February 1854 in Macon County, Illinois. He died on 1 June 1920 at the age of 66 in Gentry County, Missouri.

Born near Decatur, Illinois, the son of Andrew J. and Mary A. (Murphy) Malson. Occupation was a farmer.
Married first on March 14, 1872 to Lucinda Ellen "Ella" Gabbert. They were the parents of eight children, five of whom preceded James W. in death. The three that survive are Charles A., Clarence E. & Franklin B., all of Neosho County, Kansas.
After his first wife's death, James W. married again on July 8, 1888 to Mrs. Sarah A. Murphy (nee Fletcher). They were the parents of twelve children, two of whom died in infancy: Riley R. and Reba Irene. Those surviving are Robert H., Roy E., Walter J., Elizabeth A., William K., Earle Ray., Theodore, Eugene, Lucy and Opal all residents of Gentry County, Missouri.

Died at his home of valvular heart disease with hypertrophy of the heart, in Huggins Township, Gentry County, Missouri, aged 66y 2m 25d. Buried in the Old Brick Cemetery on June 3, 1920.
