67. Sally GABBARD³⁵ was born in 1803 in Washington County, Virginia. She died circa 1846 at the age of 43.

Sally GABBARD and Stephen Caleb CARPENTER were married on 24 January 1833 in Estill County, Kentucky. Stephen Caleb CARPENTER³⁵ was born in 1803. He died on 24 May 1885 at the age of 82 in Magoffin County, Kentucky.

Looks like the first wife may have died after Mary Ann was born.

FamilyTree on Ancestry shows Stephen married several times after the death of Sally Gabbard. He married about 1842 to Nancy Howard. He married third to Amanda Lakes, 18 Nov 1852, Rockcastle Co, KY - although it appears she did live until 1860, and about 1870, he married for a 4th time to Rebecca Davis. Apparently he married another Nancy prior to 1880.

Will was written Sep 14 1880. Menifee Co, KY. Presented in court on the 4th day of Feb 1884 and proved by witnesses. He left his property of 42 acres to his son Stephen W Carpenter (Stephen Duncan?), as well as his blacksmith tools and rifle gun and farming tools. Also left his wife, Nancy, all household and kitchen furniture and the horses, cattle, hogs, and sheep. Also he left $1 to each of his other heirs (not listed in will) to be paid out of wife's legacy. Signed with his mark.
