Uncle John W. GABBARD passed away at his home on Sand Lick, Jan. 17, 1929. He was 72 years old and lived a good religious life and was loved by all who knew him. He leaves a wife, Mrs. Jane GABBARD, and six boys, Wiley, Wess, Frank, Jesse, and Eli GABBARD. Thee girls, Mrs. Lewis JOHNSON, Mrs. Demmie LAKES, and Mrs. Cap (?) SANDLIN, Three brothers, Ned, Cap (?), and Sherman GABBARD, and three sisters, Mrs. Lizzie HURLEY, Fannie CLEMMONS, and Rosa CLEMMONS to mourn his passing besides a host of relatives and friends. But his loss is eternal gain. He was laid to rest in the Birch Lick graveyard and funeral services was conducted by Rev. Wm. LYNCH.
