Nichols died of anemia and arteriosclerosis on 20 June 1945 in Keavy, Laurel County, KY. She was born in Kentucky 18 Jan 1869 and was married to Grant Nichols. Grant Nichols was the informant and gave her parents as William Gabbard and Emily "Hutson". She was buried at Locust Grove Cemetery, June 22nd.

Sparks, 45, married once for 24 years, Farmer Fannie S., wife, 38, 5 children - all living (5 at home - she also had the two older daughters) Emma G., dau, 16 Grace, dau, 13 Dewey, son, 10 Llody, son, 7 Fred, son, 4 William D. Gabbard, brother-in-law, age 18 Kentucky Death Certificate #17408. William D. Gabbard Sr., died 2 Jul 1963 at the Kentucky Baptist Hospital in Louisville, Jefferson County, KY where he had been for 4 days. His residence was 2114 Bonny Castle in Louisville. He died of carcinoma of the gall bladder. He was widowed, retired. He had worked as a railway clerk for the L & N Railroad. His father's last named was Gabbard - his mother was Emily Adams. Mrs. Louise Hatcher, daughter, was the informant. He was buried Glasgow Cemetery on 5 July 1963.
