Harvey Harrison, age 59, widowed. Finished 4th grade. In 1935 he was living in Mena, Polk Co, AR. He is a laborer on WPA road construction. Note: he apparently wasn't widowed - Lillie is listed in his WW II draft registration in 1942.
Living with him is Kimbrell Harrison, nephew, age 24, finished 8th grade, born Arkansas. He was living in Crawford Co in 1935 and is also working for the WPA. Kimbrell was his brother Nelson's son.

World War II Draft Registration:
William Harvey Harrison, residence was Chester, Crawford Co, Ark. He was age 61, born 7 Sep 1880 in "Skyler" Co, Illinois. Lillie Harrison would always know his address. His employer was the WPA, District 4, out of Fort Smith, Ark. He was employed at Lake Ft. Smith, Mountainburg, Crawford Co. Description was 5'6", 160 lbs. Gray eyes, gray hair, light complexion. He had a knife scar on his left leg.
Dated 27 April 1942.

Also buried in the Conley Cemetery in Crawford Co are George W. Harrison 1915-1959 and Robert Harrison 1942-1949. Possibly son and grandson of William H. Harrison.
Called "Hardey" in obituary of sister Mary Adamson. Living in DeQueen AR in 1929.

William H. Harrison
William H. Harrison, 81, resident of Chester for the last ten months, died Monday afternoon at Van Buren. He was born Sep 7, 1880 and was a retired railway section foreman.
Survivors are his widow, Lillie, of the home; five stepsons, Evan C. Burnett, Wichita Kan., Curtis N. Burnett, Bakersfield, Calif., and Clarence W., Donald C., and Zane G. Burnett, all of Los Angeles, Calif.; four stepdaughters, Mrs. Mildred Scribner, Wichita, Mrs. Iram Lee Rickman, Chester, Mrs. Margie Nigh, Deumning, N.M., and Mrs. Onela Harrison, Fort Smith; two brothers, Nelson Harrison, Chester, and Ed Harrison, Memphis, Tenn.; and two sisters, Mrs. Maggie Cradduck, Mountainburg, and Mrs. Maude Skeins, California.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2:30 p.m. Wednesday at the Community Church at Chester by the Rev. M. C. Parrish. Burial will be in Conley Cemetery near Mountainburg under the direction of Nelson's Funeral Home.
Note: Mrs. Maggie Cradduck was my grandmother's twin. I could have known her had circumstances been different.

Funeral services for William H. Harrison, who died Monday in Van Buren, were conducted at 2:30 p.m. Wednesday in the Community Church at Chester by the Rev. M. C. Parrish. Burial was in Conley Cemetery under the direction of Nelson's Funeral Home.
Pallbearers were John Pence, Boy Wright, Harry Basham, Andy Teague, Rashe Meadows, and Roy Cochran.
Note: John Pence and Andy Teague were likely great nephews - nephews of my father, Ernie Adamson.

William Harvey HARRISON and Mary A. DANIELS were married on 18 January 1913 in Sebastian County, Arkansas. Mary A. DANIELS was born in 1871 in Arkansas. She died after 1930 at the age of 59.

William Harvey HARRISON and Lillie Mae YOUNG were married on 8 December 1941 in Crawford County, Arkansas.121,122 Lillie Mae YOUNG, daughter of William Henry YOUNG and Sarah Emaline BLEVINS, was born on 1 December 1892.121 She died on 5 January 1964 at the age of 71.121

Even though they were older when married, she is listed on the marriage license as Miss Lillie Barnett. She had previously been married to Joseph M. Burnett - they apparently divorced. FindAGrave had the information concerning her family. He was 61, she was 49 when they married. Earl B. Ward, County Judge, married the couple.

She is buried Conley Cemetery, Crawford Co, AR.
