William Evans
After an illness of six weeks, William Evans, aged 82 years died on Sunday morning at his late residence in South Pottstown. He had been in good health up to the last few weeks. Deceased was the last of the family and was born in Limerick township.
He is survived by a widow Eliza and two children, Addison T. Evans of Pottstown and Mrs. Kate Martin of Newtown Square, Delaware County. His first wife Mary T. Evans died some years ago.
Mr. Evans for 43 years was employed as a boatsman on the Schuylkill Canal. In recent years he had been employed by Squire Joseph S. Haws. He was a member of the Reformed denomination. The funeral will be held on Thursday afternnon at 2:00 from the late residence in South Pottstown.
