Catherine Bechtel, widow of the late Augustus Bechtel, died yesterday afternoon at 2 o'clock at the residence of her daughter, Mrs. Martin Harp. She was aged 69 years, 5 months. The cause of her death was dropsy. The end came suddenly while she was sitting in a chair at the Harp residence. Her husband died 5 years ago.
Deceased was the daughter of the late Henry Bucher and was the mother of twelve children, ten of whom survive: Mrs. George Malsberger, Pottstown; Mrs. Martin Harp, Stowe; Mrs. Irvin Scheffey, Pottstown; Mrs. William Sassaman, Stowe; James Bechtel, Pottstown; John Bechtel, Pottstown; Morris Bechtel, Stowe; Ephraim Bechtel, Kenilworth; Jefferson Bechtel, Stowe; Richard Bechtel, Stowe. Also the following brothers and sisters: Lewis Bucher, Reading; Sebastian Bucher, Niagra Falls; Henry Bucher of Pottstown; Mrs. Sarah Mauger of Pottstown; Mrs. Harry K. Rhoades of Pottstown. The funeral is announced in another column.

BECHTEL - In Stowe, on July 19th, Catherine, wife of Augustus L. Bechtel, aged 69 years. The relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the funeral from the residence of Martin L. Harp, Berks street, on Saturday, July 22nd, at 1 p.m. Brief services at house and further services at Trinity Reformed Church. Interment at Pottstown Cemetery, without further notice.
