  4. CPAFUG. A mailing list, restricted to the members of the Capital PAF Users Group (Washington, DC metro area), to discuss all aspects of genealogical computing techniques.   5. EFSS. A mailing list for serious researchers of Early Families in Southern States during the colonial period to share and exchange records, documentation, and other research regarding families who settled in southern states, especially in the Maryland, Virginia, North Carolina, and South Carolina regions, in the 1600s and 1700s (prior to the Revolution). This will be a list based upon solid scholarship and archival research. It is intentionally broader than a surname or county list as we hope to discuss links between geographic areas and clusters of migrating families.   7. LOWER-DELMARVA-ROOTS. A mailing list for anyone with a genealogical or historical interest in the lower Delmarva Peninsula. This area includes Sussex and Kent Counties in Delaware; the lower shore counties of Dorchester, Wicomico, Somerset, and Worcester in Maryland; and Virginia's Northampton and Accomack Counties.   9. MCF-ROOTS. A mailing list (Maryland Catholics on the Frontier) for the discussion of descendants of Maryland Catholics who migrated first to Kentucky and then to other parts of the frontier. This was a planned migration and the first group left Maryland in 1785 with others following for the next 10 years or so. Many of the surnames are so intertwined that it is impossible to separate them and the families can be researched as one great big family, especially in Maryland and Kentucky.   22. MD-CENSUS. A mailing list for the volunteers who are engaged in transcribing Maryland census records in support of the USGenWeb Census Project to discuss the status of the project.   23. MD-CENSUS-LOOKUP. A mailing list for anyone desiring a check of Maryland census records for their ancestors. Requests should be as specific as possible and include county name, specific family of interest, and year whenever possible. In addition, those who own or have access to census records and are willing to do lookups are asked to subscribe and assist in responding to queries. A mailing list for anyone with a genealogical interest in the Potomac Highlands of West Virginia consisting of Grant, Hampshire, Hardy, Mineral, Pendleton, Pocahontas, Randolph and Tucker Counties. Counties closely tied to this area in Maryland and Virginia will also be addressed including Allegany and Garrett Counties in Maryland and Rockingham and Highland Counties in Virginia. A regional mailing list for anyone with a genealogical interest in the Pennsylvania counties of Somerset, Bedford, Cambria and Fayette; the Maryland counties of Garrett and Allegany; and the border counties in West Virginia. This is a very active list and you are almost guaranteed to meet new cousins, find missing connections, and jump-start your research (especially if you are stuck!).
