  8. AZ-CENSUS-LOOKUP. A mailing list for anyone desiring a check of Arizona census records for their ancestors. Requests should be as specific as possible and include county name, specific family of interest, and year whenever possible. In addition, those who own or have access to census records and are willing to do lookups are asked to subscribe and assist in responding to queries. While the principal focus of the list is discussions among the Arizona GenWeb County Coordinators, the list is also open to the public for general queries (e.g., help in finding map locations, cemeteries, etc.). Postings related to specific surname searches are beyond the scope of the list. The West Valley Genealogy Society (WVGS), with headquarters in the Phoenix, Arizona "Valley of the Sun", is a non-profit corporation dedicated to sharing, finding and recording genealogical information.   40. PARADISE-PROJECT. A mailing list for the discussion and sharing of information regarding the Paradise Valley Genealogy Project in Maricopa County, Arizona. The purpose of this project is to assist patrons of the LDS Paradise Valley Stake in the use of their stake Family History Center, both for personal Family History Work and participation in Family Temple Work. It allows patrons to exchange research methods, make announcements of upcoming events, ask for assistance, and provide discussion of general Family History questions. Discussion is not limited to members of the LDS church and is geared toward the non-professional or hobbiest researcher.
