William appears in the Llangadock Parish Vestry Book [County Archives,
Carmarthen], resident in "the Hamlet above Sawddey". The record of
expenditure for 1785 includes an item: "To Wm Jeremiah for lodging of a
vagrant woman with a broken arm at Cwr y Wayn 2s6d" Subsequently William
signed Vestry minutes as parishioner on 10 Jan 1786, 26 July 1786 (both
minutes concerning plan for a bridge over the River Sawddey}, and 18 Jan
1787.
In the 1800 List of Pensioners appears "Wid. William JEREMIAH �2 per
week."
18 March 1801 Vestry minute agreed and ordered "that the pension of
Elizabeth Wo of William Jeremiah be �2 a week til further notice".
Further mentions through to
Year ending 5 May 1816: Wo Wm JEREMIAH till death 29 weeks (ie from 5 May
1815).....
Funeral expenses, and "Relief given by Mrs Rees Thomas �5.5s, year's rent
to Mr ReesThomaa for a room"
